To address the increasing threat of rising sea levels, Hawai'i has launched an updated Sea Level Rise Viewer. This online tool is designed to help local communities enhance their coastal planning strategies. Projections indicate a potential sea level rise of up to four feet by the end of the century, heightening concerns about destructive storm surges, flooding, and coastal erosion across the islands.

Global sea levels have already risen significantly since 1880, and this trend is expected to continue for centuries due to historical heat-trapping pollution.
