- The cobra likely sought shelter in the shirt due to temperature or safety.
A farmer experienced a frightening ordeal when he awoke from an outdoor nap to find a cobra coiled inside his shirt. The venomous snake had apparently sought refuge, leading to a tense situation as rescuers assisted the farmer.
With great care, a rescuer slowly unbuttoned the farmer's shirt, instructing him to stay completely still to avoid agitating the cobra. The farmer's calm demeanor was crucial in preventing a bite.
Once the shirt was unbuttoned, the farmer was able to remove it, and he quickly moved away. The cobra then emerged from the shirt, unharmed. The farmer also appeared to have escaped without any bites, thanks to the assistance and his own composure.
Cobras are venomous and their neurotoxic venom can cause severe health issues, including paralysis and respiratory failure, if a bite is not treated promptly with anti-venom. While the specific cobra species was not identified, a bite would have necessitated immediate medical attention.
It is believed the cobra sought shelter in the farmer's shirt for warmth, protection from the sun, or to hide from potential predators. This close call had a fortunate resolution, with everyone involved walking away safely.
