A corn snake's adventurous escapade concluded on the bonnet of a car in Scarborough after an estimated 17-mile journey from Bridlington. Upon arrival, the snake was not immediately visible, but a photograph confirmed its identity. It was eventually found within the car's engine bay, having wrapped itself around components. A rescuer held onto the snake's tail for two hours before it could be safely retrieved.
This incident marks a first for the rescue centre, which has previously dealt with reptiles found in various unusual locations. The snake, described as beautiful and showing no aggression, is currently being cared for and will be reunited with its owner shortly.
