Mumbai to Host 2026 Earthshot Prize Awards

Mumbai, India, will host the prestigious 2026 Earthshot Prize Awards on November 27. Prince William, the visionary behind the initiative, will welcome a global assembly of esteemed guests to celebrate innovators addressing critical environmental challenges.

The ceremony, now in its sixth year since its 2020 inception, recognizes leaders in science, entrepreneurship, and community changemaking. This year's event will feature performances and appearances by notable figures from the entertainment world, including Simone Ashley, Rami Malek, and Alia Bhatt.

Prince William established the Earthshot Prize with the ambitious goal of finding and scaling solutions to the planet's most urgent environmental problems over a decade. The initiative has already identified over 5,600 innovations from 156 countries.

For the first time, the 2026 Earthshot Prize Awards will be livestreamed globally, reaching an audience in over 240 countries and territories. This expansion aims to further amplify the message of hope and action that the Prize represents, inspiring broader participation in environmental solutions.

Filmmaker Karan Johar will host the evening. Prince William has expressed that witnessing the progress of the Earthshot Prize has helped to alleviate his own environmental anxieties, providing tangible proof that positive change is achievable.
