The council's clean-air strategy is multi-layered and operates continuously. Key components include the deployment of anti-smog guns, mechanised sweepers, and misting systems. NDMC operates nine anti-smog guns, with additional units deployed at construction sites. Mechanised sweepers cover substantial distances daily, with plans to expand the fleet with new CNG and battery-operated models.
Misting systems have been installed on numerous electric poles along major roads, with plans to expand this network significantly. The council also manages construction and demolition waste, transporting it to a recycling facility. Greening remains a long-term focus, with NDMC planting 3-3.5 million shrubs and plants in 2025-26, increasing its green cover to over 47%.
