Delhi Fog Thickens: Air Quality Plummets to 'Poor'

On the air quality front, Delhi's 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 272 on Tuesday, categorized as 'poor'. Station data revealed a mix of air quality levels across the capital. The transport sector was a major contributor to pollution, accounting for 13.1% of the load.
Further analysis showed that among surrounding NCR districts, Sonipat had the highest pollution contribution at approximately 15.1%. Air quality is projected to stay in the 'poor' category on Wednesday but is expected to improve to 'moderate' between February 5 and February 6.
