Delhi Air Quality Improves, Stage IV Restrictions Lifted

Delhi's air quality has seen a notable improvement, dipping from the severe category to 'very poor' after three consecutive days of severe pollution. This change prompted the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to revoke the GRAP Stage-IV emergency measures with immediate effect.
Among the lifted restrictions are the ban on entry for BS-IV trucks into Delhi and limitations on non-Delhi registered diesel-operated BS-IV and older heavy goods vehicles. Hybrid schooling for senior students has also been discontinued.
The average Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded was 378 on Tuesday, a decrease from 410 the previous day. The AQI is expected to remain in the very poor category until Friday.
