City Air Worsens: Yellow Alert for Cold Wave Issued

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for a cold wave, which is expected to persist until Thursday. Residents are advised to minimize outdoor exposure to the cold. Westerly winds at approximately 10 km per hour are contributing to these conditions, exacerbated by a western disturbance.
Similar dry weather and dense smog are forecast for the National Capital Region on Wednesday and Thursday. Farmers have been advised to adjust irrigation schedules for wheat, mustard, and field pea crops to mitigate the impact of potential fog. Gurugram recorded temperatures between 5.9°C and 14.1°C on Tuesday.
