Sakolsky plans to visit Maowusu, a vast sandy area in Inner Mongolia, which has been transformed by Yin's decades-long afforestation efforts. He also intends to visit Luoyang, where he first learned of Yin's work and raised $5,000 to purchase saplings.
These saplings have since grown into trees, creating a "forest miracle" and earning Yin global recognition. She is renowned for her "indomitable spirit" in turning desert areas into thriving oases.
Yin is also traveling to Sweden to participate in an international forum on sustainable development, where she will share her experiences in desert greening and environmental protection. Her work has led to over 300,000 trees being planted across 4,000 hectares.
