On World Wetlands Day, an awareness and environment protection program was organized at Dallupur ghat, near Gokul reservoir in Buxar. This initiative, held under the auspices of the Bhojpur forest division, aimed to educate the public on crucial environmental issues.
The program focused on wetland conservation, the significance of biodiversity, and the effects of climate change. Discussions covered the vital role of wetlands, groundwater preservation, and the protection of migratory birds, promoting sustainable development practices.
As part of the event, 131 students from various schools engaged in painting and essay competitions, with top performers receiving awards. The District Magistrate, Sahila, and Divisional Forest Officer, Pradyumna Gaurav, attended as chief guests, underscoring the importance of wetlands for environmental balance and future generations.
