Bear Crashes Live News Report in Monrovia

A black bear made an unexpected appearance during a live television news report on Sunday morning. The bear wandered into the background of a KTLA broadcast in Monrovia, California, while crews were covering a previous bear encounter in the neighborhood. During the live segment, the animal was observed near a large trap placed in a driveway.

Officials from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife were on scene, monitoring the bear and attempting to trap it. They are also investigating a possible connection to a recent incident where a woman walking her dog was swiped by an animal, sustaining minor injuries. Pasadena Humane officials suggested the earlier encounter may have been a mother bear defending a cub.

Bears are reportedly not uncommon in the foothill community. Residents are advised by Fish and Wildlife officials to maintain distance, avoid feeding wildlife, and secure trash cans. The bear eventually left the area, with authorities continuing to monitor the situation.
