Authorities are accelerating environmental and infrastructure projects, focusing on the Bandhwari landfill site where 1.68 million metric tonnes of legacy waste will be processed scientifically by February 2027. To combat urban flooding, strict enforcement against encroachments on natural drainage channels and water exit routes is mandated. A detailed survey to identify obstructions is to be submitted within one month, followed by decisive action. Furthermore, 175 new rainwater harvesting recharge units will be constructed before the monsoon, and occupancy certificates for non-compliant societies face cancellation.
