The series was filmed in nearly 30 African countries, leveraging new technology and cutting-edge CGI to present the continent's diverse environments and the animals within them. From deserts to mountains, the documentary explores how varied ecosystems shape life.
"Africa Earth's Wild Home" features remarkable sequences, including previously unfilmed animal interactions and behaviors. This includes nocturnal hunts in caves and unique feeding habits of various species, offering a fresh perspective on the continent's biodiversity.
Narrated by Academy Award nominee Wunmi Mosaku, the series is the first installment in a multi-year franchise dedicated to documenting the planet continent by continent. It premieres October 2, 2026, on National Geographic and streams on Disney+ and Hulu starting October 3, 2026.
