Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has integrated the guidance of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) into its sustainability strategy. This strategic shift reinforces AGEL's commitment to nature-positive renewable energy development, moving beyond conventional Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance.
The company initiated company-wide assessments in FY24 to identify nature-related dependencies, impacts, and risks across its operational sites. AGEL is also a signatory to the India Business Biodiversity Initiative (IBBI) and has committed to achieving 'No Net Loss of Biodiversity' by 2030.
AGEL currently operates over 16.5 GW of renewable energy capacity, the largest in India. The company has set an ambitious target of 50 GW by 2030, aligning with India's decarbonization goals and developing the world's largest renewable energy plant in Gujarat.
