Beloved Daycare Blooms Anew Under New Ownership
3 Aug
Summary
- Daycare set to close in West El Paso is reopening this fall.
- New owner Frances Ontiveros aims to maintain the school's mission.
- The school will reopen as Bloom on Belvidere Preschool & Daycare.
Peace Lutheran Preschool and Daycare, a West El Paso institution serving families since 1982, will reopen this fall under new ownership as Bloom on Belvidere Preschool & Daycare. The beloved center faced closure earlier this year, with plans to sell the building and cease operations after the summer break.
Frances Ontiveros, a former board member for Peace Lutheran Preschool, has taken the helm. She has chosen the name "Bloom on Belvidere" to reflect the school's mission of helping children grow and flourish at their own pace. While the daycare will no longer be affiliated with the church, Ontiveros emphasizes that the core values of kindness, respect, and nurturing will continue.
Families can expect the same beloved teachers and building, but with a renewed focus and a name that signifies community roots. Bloom on Belvidere Preschool & Daycare is scheduled to welcome children back starting Wednesday, August 5th, continuing its legacy of providing a supportive learning environment.
