The UPSC CSE Prelims exam structure includes 180 objective-type questions across General Studies and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT), totaling 400 marks. Two marks are awarded for each correct answer, with a deduction of one-third for incorrect responses. Unanswered questions incur no penalty. Successful candidates in the prelims will proceed to the Main examination, followed by a personality test.
