Abhishek Chauhan, related to cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, has successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 on his very first attempt, securing All India Rank 102. This achievement grants him a coveted position in the Indian Police Service (IPS).
Chauhan, born in 1999, demonstrated academic excellence early on, eventually completing his MTech with a gold medal. His dedicated preparation for the Civil Services began after 2022.
The successful candidate's interview for the CSE 2025 took place in 2026, where he confidently answered the panel's questions. His success has ignited celebrations in his native Samastipur district, bringing pride to his family and hometown.
His father, Professor Dr. Abhay Kumar Singh, serves as the Registrar of Nalanda Open University. Family members, including his uncle Ajay Kumar Singh, aunt Tanuja Singh, and cousins Anand and Anish Chauhan, have expressed their joy over his accomplishment.
