Students in Uttar Pradesh attending schools recognized by the UP Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) can look forward to readily available textbooks for the upcoming academic year. Publishers authorized by UPSEB announced on Monday that all 70 NCERT books covering 36 subjects are now accessible throughout the state.
This year's smooth availability is attributed to an early tender process and prompt printing. Three publishers—Pitambara Books Pvt Ltd, Pioneer Printers, and Singhal Agencies—have been officially authorized to sell the books. In addition to the NCERT texts, UPSEB-prepared books for Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu for classes X to XII are also available.
The adopted NCERT books for classes IX to XII, a system in place since the 2018-19 academic session, have historically faced shortages. This year's proactive measures have ensured timely distribution. The publishers emphasize that these books are not only of high quality but also affordable, with sets for different classes priced between Rs 393 and Rs 458.
