- Strict monitoring and preventive actions will be enforced.

The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board is implementing stringent measures for the upcoming 2026 High School and Intermediate examinations. Scheduled to take place between February 18 and March 12, 2026, these exams will see intensified scrutiny, particularly in 20 identified sensitive districts. These areas have a history of malpractices, including mass copying and paper leak attempts, necessitating a coordinated and heightened security approach.
Board secretary Bhagwati Singh has directed divisional commissioners and district magistrates to ensure a malpractice-free examination process, aligning with directives from UP Chief Secretary Shashi Prakash Goyal. Key subjects like Hindi, social science, and English are under high alert, while science and mathematics demand the utmost vigilance. Officials are tasked with closely monitoring district-level preparedness, including security arrangements, CCTV surveillance, and the deployment of flying squads.
Proactive measures against cheating networks and anti-social elements are a priority. Any attempts to compromise the examination sanctity will be dealt with severely under the UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, underscoring the board's commitment to maintaining the integrity of its examinations.
