UPPSC Exam Cancelled Over Paper Leak
8 Jan
Summary
- Assistant Professor recruitment exam cancelled due to irregularities.
- Question paper leak confirmed by official inquiry and STF.
- New exam dates to be announced soon by UP Public Service Commission.

The Uttar Pradesh government has cancelled the Assistant Professor recruitment examination that took place last year. This decision follows an official inquiry, including an investigation by the state's Special Task Force, which confirmed significant irregularities, notably a leak of the question paper. The examination, held on April 16 and 17, 2025, had its integrity compromised.
The Yogi Adityanath government has instructed the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) to promptly announce new dates for the examination. The aim is to ensure the rescheduled test is conducted with transparency and security, addressing the compromised integrity of the previous attempt. Nearly 1.14 lakh candidates had applied for the drive.
This recruitment aimed to fill 1,017 Assistant Professor vacancies in government-aided degree colleges across Uttar Pradesh. Further details regarding the revised examination schedule will be available on the UPPSC's official website, uppsc.up.nic.in.
