The National Testing Agency (NTA) has yet to release the provisional answer key for the UGC NET June 2026 examinations. More than a month has passed since the exam concluded, leaving numerous candidates anxious about when they can estimate their scores and plan for PhD admissions.
The NET exams took place on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, and 30, 2026. A re-examination for a portion of the June 22 paper was also conducted on July 5, 2026. The NTA plans to provide the attempted question papers and response sheets alongside the official answer keys.
Candidates will have the opportunity to challenge any discrepancies found in the provisional answer key. This process requires a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per challenged answer, along with valid proof and justification for the challenge. The UGC NET is crucial for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor positions, and PhD admissions across Indian universities.
