In a significant move to bolster the state's educational infrastructure, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on August 25, 2025, virtually inaugurated new buildings constructed for various educational institutions under the Higher Education Department. The buildings, located across different parts of the state, were built at a total cost of ₹51 crore.
Additionally, the Chief Minister also virtually inaugurated 19 new Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) established in several towns and cities, including Embal, Gingee, Gurukkalpatti, and Kancheepuram, among others. This expansion of vocational training facilities is aimed at enhancing the skills and employability of the state's youth.
In another event, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated an air-conditioned film shooting site at the Tamil Nadu Government M.G.R. Film and Television Institute in Chennai. The site was renovated at a cost of ₹5.10 crore, reflecting the government's commitment to supporting the state's thriving film industry.
The Chief Minister also distributed appointment orders to candidates newly recruited by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, underscoring the administration's efforts to create job opportunities for the people of the state.
