The future of the Sundarbans was voiced by over 800 schoolchildren at the Bagh Bachao Tiger Festival 2026. Held at WPSI Serenity School in Bali on September 26, the event saw children championing the conservation of mangroves, wildlife, and their delta home through engaging activities. This festival, conducted by the Sanctuary Nature Foundation with support from local conservation societies, highlighted the theme "Voices for the Tiger."
Attendees participated in a symbolic mangrove-watering ceremony and took a conservation oath, underscoring their commitment. Experts from WWF-India and the Sundarban Tiger Reserve addressed students on ecological security and tiger conservation. Discussions also covered past, present, and future challenges facing the Indian Sundarbans, alongside the issue of environmental pollution.
