Young minds explore Unnao's rich birdlife and wetlands

On Saturday, sixty students from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, SGPGI, visited the Nawabganj bird sanctuary in Unnao. This excursion was part of the Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board's Yuva Tourism Initiative, designed to educate students on biodiversity and conservation.
During their visit, students traversed nature trails and observed avian life from designated points. They also engaged with the interpretation center to understand the local ecosystems. The program aims to cultivate a generation of environmentally aware individuals.
Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Bird Sanctuary, also known as Nawabganj, is recognized as an internationally significant wetland and is one of Uttar Pradesh's eleven Ramsar sites. It is a crucial habitat for many migratory birds during the winter season.
