The student, Naveen Kumar, who hailed from Ballia district, was pursuing his BA (NEP) and resided at Subhash hostel. He had returned to the hostel on February 26, 2026, after visiting his native village. While the post-mortem report indicates suicide, authorities are thoroughly investigating the reasons behind this extreme step.
