Aarushi Kapoor, a Class 12 student at Seth MR Jaipuria School in Lucknow, has demonstrated remarkable resilience by scoring 91.5% while managing a rare neurological condition. She suffers from idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), which affects the brain's size and causes severe headaches and vision impairment due to cerebrospinal fluid pressure.
Aarushi has undergone a brain stenting surgery to mitigate the effects of the disease. The challenges of studying and writing exams with IIH were significant, often exacerbated by swelling in her eyes and temporary vision loss. She had to skip her pre-board examinations in October and November to seek treatment in various hospitals.
Her academic achievement has been lauded by her school's principal, Promini Chopra, who praised Aarushi's courage in facing her health challenges. Aarushi is motivated to pursue a career as a chartered accountant, following the path of her parents, Ruchi and Ashish Kapoor.
