The Staff Selection Commission has announced the Combined Hindi Translators Examination (CHT) 2026, with online registration commencing on April 23, 2026, via ssc.gov.in.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 84 vacancies for Hindi Translator roles across various government departments. The application window closes on May 14, 2026, and the fee payment can be completed by May 15, 2026. A correction window will be available from May 19 to May 20, 2026.
The examination process consists of two stages: an objective-type Computer-Based Examination (Paper I) and a descriptive paper (Paper II). Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies to incorrect answers in Paper I.
Candidates will be shortlisted for Paper II based on Paper I performance. Final selection depends on a combined merit list, giving 50% weightage to Paper I and 100% to Paper II. Category-wise cut-offs may be applied.
