Sarah Moin, 18, has achieved an exceptional 98.7% in her ISC Class 12 board examinations, emerging as the topper of Christ Church College in 2026. Her academic performance includes perfect scores in Geography and Mass Media Communication, alongside high marks in English, History, and Psychology.
Her journey to this achievement was fraught with challenges, stemming from vision, hearing, and speech issues that developed at age four following a medical treatment. These difficulties impacted her schooling, leading to her withdrawal from a previous institution. However, Christ Church College's initiative to create a special section for students with special needs, supported by a dedicated special educator, proved to be a turning point.
Sarah utilized a refreshable Braille display connected to a laptop for her exams. This assistive technology converted digital question papers into Braille, allowing her to write her answers, which were then printed and submitted. Another student, Abhinandan, also appeared for the exams with similar support, scoring 72%.
Looking ahead, Sarah aspires to pursue graduation from a reputed institution and eventually aims to join the UPSC Civil Services, with a long-term goal of serving the nation as an IAS officer.
