The internet prank known as Rickrolling has made an unexpected appearance in an Indian examination hall. This incident quickly gained traction on social media after students shared their experiences on Tuesday.
Rickrolling, a prank that began in 2007, involves tricking individuals into clicking a link that unexpectedly leads to the "Never Gonna Give You Up" music video. The prank gained significant popularity on platforms like 4chan, where it originated as a bait-and-switch tactic. It has since become one of the internet's most enduring memes, with the song surpassing one billion views on YouTube.
In response to the QR code claims, the CBSE stated that the examination papers were genuine and their security was not compromised. However, the board did acknowledge that scanning QR codes on certain sets led to the YouTube video and confirmed that the matter is under investigation.
