Ram Avtar, a retired Army Havildar with nearly 26 years of service, has adopted a disciplined routine to train young aspirants in Bokaro for various government recruitment tests. He provides free physical training, focusing on running, stamina, endurance, discipline, and mental resilience, for youths unable to afford coaching. Since retiring in 2023, his informal initiative has grown into a structured program.
Over the past two years, Avtar has guided approximately 100 aspirants, several of whom have successfully obtained government jobs. Notably, ten trainees recently secured railway positions, including two women. A veteran of the 1999 Kargil War, Avtar personally covers equipment costs, driven by a desire to see more youngsters join the armed forces and contribute to the nation.
