Qatar Launches Sports Track for Future Champions

Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education has initiated a Sports Track within its Government Scholarship Programme to nurture student athletes. This program aims to integrate university education with continued athletic development, preparing talented individuals to represent Qatar. Participants can pursue various academic disciplines while receiving support for their sports careers.

The Sports Track offers athletic talent-based scholarships, enabling enrollment in Qatari higher education institutions. Eligibility requires nomination from the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Qatar Olympic Committee, along with meeting general scholarship requirements and securing unconditional university admission.

Benefits include tuition fee coverage for private universities, coordination with sports organizations, and employment-linked scholarships. The application period for public universities runs from November 15 to December 30, 2026, via the Government Scholarship Platform.
