The Third International Punjabi Language Olympiad-2025 has concluded with an unprecedented participation of over 2.25 lakh students worldwide. Organized by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), the event saw a massive surge in engagement compared to previous years, demonstrating a strong revival of interest in the Punjabi language.
The Olympiad's results, declared recently, showcased winners from diverse locations. Niamat Kaur Brar from Oslo, Norway, topped the Class 3rd-5th international category, while Simrit Kaur from Nairobi, Kenya, secured first place in the Class 6th-8th international category. Indian students also excelled, with top ranks achieved across various categories within Punjab and other states.
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains celebrated the event's success, attributing it to the state government's mother-tongue friendly policies. The Olympiad, conducted online from August 18 to October 31, 2025, utilized Face Recognition Technology across its stages, ensuring a transparent and credible process for all participants.
