This innovative concept, inspired by New York's 'Lectures On Tap,' invites academics and industry leaders to share their expertise in a casual bar environment, fostering a more relaxed and interactive learning experience.
The initiative aims to make knowledge accessible and engaging, moving away from traditional classroom pressures. "Instead of the pressures of a classroom, a restaurant or bar allows for a more relaxed environment, openness and invites interactions without intimidation," explain curators Neha Paranjpe and Vineeta Wagh. While the name suggests drinks, participation is flexible, with mocktails also available.
Originating in Bangalore in June 2025, 'Pint of View' has since flourished, now active in over 10 cities. The program carefully selects interdisciplinary speakers, encouraging attendance from anyone with a genuine interest in subjects ranging from psychology to cosmology. Attendees consistently praise the unique format, with one filmmaker giving it "10/10 for the experience of lectures over drinks."
