Pune will host its annual Children's Book Fair from April 30 to May 4, 2026. The event, held at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, is designed to promote holistic child development and cultivate a passion for reading and creativity.
Organized by the Pune Municipal Corporation and Pune Pustak Mahotsav, the fair promises an engaging learning experience. Activities will include storytelling, poetry sessions, science talks, and AI guidance, alongside fun play activities. Popular cartoon characters and puppet shows will also feature.
Innovative segments like 'AI Your Study Buddy' will explore AI in education. Additionally, sessions on the Indian Constitution and science topics will be conducted. An aeromodelling show aims to raise awareness about the Indian Air Force. Parents can attend a seminar on reducing children's screen time.
The fair will host around 100 book stalls, predominantly featuring children's literature. Continuous literary and cultural programs, along with rural and adventure games, are planned throughout the day. The closing ceremony will showcase traditional Sambal drumming and Gondhal songs.
