OUHS PG Exam Malpractice Under Investigation

The Odisha government has established a three-member committee to investigate alleged irregularities in the recent postgraduate examinations conducted by the Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS), Bhubaneswar. This committee, comprised of three health and family welfare department officials, is mandated to ascertain facts and submit its report within two weeks.
In parallel, the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur has formed its own five-member inquiry panel, headed by the hospital superintendent. This committee is required to submit its findings within three days, following accusations that the second theory examination's question paper for the MS/MD course was circulated on social media shortly after the examination commenced on July 27.
OUHS vice-chancellor Dr. Manas Ranjan Sahoo clarified that the incident is considered malpractice rather than a leak, as the paper was transmitted outside the hall after the examination began. The university has since requested a detailed report from the MKCG dean and strengthened its monitoring mechanisms for the remaining examinations, promising stringent action against any guilty parties.
