NEET UG 2026: Fee Refund Link Soon for Cancelled Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to launch the NEET UG 2026 fee refund portal imminently on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. This initiative will allow candidates who appeared for the NEET UG 2026 examination on May 3 to submit their banking details for a direct refund of their examination fee.

The decision to offer fee refunds follows the cancellation of the May 3rd NEET UG 2026 exam due to a significant paper leak controversy. The NTA has already announced that the rescheduled NEET UG 2026 re-exam will take place on June 21, 2026. Crucially, students will not incur any extra charges to take this re-examination.

Once the refund portal is live, students must log in and meticulously enter their bank account holder name, account number, and IFSC code. This process aims to support the over 22 lakh candidates affected by the exam's cancellation, ensuring a smooth transition to the upcoming re-examination. The expected refund amounts vary by category, ranging from Rs 1,600 to Rs 9,500.

The NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be administered in 13 languages across India, accommodating a diverse pool of candidates. The NTA is committed to facilitating this refund process efficiently, providing a supportive measure for all affected students.
