NEET SS Cut-off Slashed to 30th Percentile

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced a significant reduction in the minimum qualifying percentile for the NEET SS 2025 examination. Candidates now only need to achieve the 30th percentile, a decrease from the previous 50th percentile, to qualify.
This revision was implemented based on a Supreme Court order dated September 19, 2026, which sanctioned the reduction to address the issue of vacant super speciality seats. The updated results have been communicated to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for further processing.
NBEMS has clarified that no new scorecards will be issued, and the NEET SS 2025 group-specific ranks, initially declared on January 23, 2026, will remain valid. Candidates are reminded that their aggregate MBBS marks will undergo verification against original credentials by the admitting authorities during the admission process.
If the aggregate marks provided in the application form are found to be incorrect and were used to resolve a tie, the candidate's NEET-SS 2025 candidature will face cancellation.
