Nationwide security has been significantly heightened for the NEET re-examination scheduled for tomorrow, June 21, 2026. Over 2.27 million students are expected to take the test across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. This crucial re-examination was ordered following allegations of paper leaks and administrative lapses during the test held on May 3, 2026.
Authorities in major cities like Bhopal, Jammu and Kashmir, and Dehradun have confirmed extensive, multi-layered security arrangements. These include police escorts for exam papers and strict entry checks for candidates. CCTV cameras and jammers have been installed at centers to ensure vigilance, with local police and agency staff working in coordination. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues its investigation into the previous exam's irregularities.
The examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Candidates are advised to reach their centers between 11 am and 1:30 pm, as entry gates will close promptly at 1:30 pm. These measures aim to uphold the integrity of the examination process for all aspiring students.
