The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the seat matrix for the NEET PG Round 2 counselling, revealing a substantial number of opportunities for postgraduate medical aspirants. A total of 32,080 seats are up for grabs, encompassing clear vacancies, virtual vacancies, and newly introduced seats, ensuring ample options for candidates seeking admission.
The application window for NEET PG Round 2 is now open, commencing on December 5 and concluding on December 9, 2026. This period allows eligible candidates, including those who did not secure a seat in Round 1 or wish to pursue the All India Quota, to submit their applications. The choice-filling process will also conclude on December 9.
Round 1 of the counselling saw over 26,000 candidates successfully secure seats. The most preferred courses were MD General Medicine, followed by MD Radiology Diagnosis and MD Obstetrics & Gynecology, highlighting the persistent demand for core clinical specializations among top-ranking medical graduates.
