NEET PG 2026 Sees Record Registration Surge

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Postgraduate (PG) 2026 is scheduled for August 30, with a record 2,73,183 candidates successfully registering. This represents a significant increase of over 12.5% compared to the previous year's registrations.

The examination will be administered in a single shift, covering approximately 340 cities and more than 1,300 examination centers nationwide. The NBEMS has emphasized that candidates should not be concerned about potential technical disruptions during the exam.

Detailed protocols are in place to address contingencies like power failures or system lockouts. The NBEMS clarified that the exam timer will automatically pause and resume, preventing any loss of allocated time. Candidates experiencing machine issues will be assisted by invigilators and IT managers, with potential relocation to buffer seats if necessary.

Robust security measures are implemented, including CCTV surveillance, biometric authentication, and real-time monitoring, to ensure a fair examination process.
