The incident occurred on August 30, 2026, when an unforeseen technical issue, specifically internal power supply problems at iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura Centres in Jaipur, Rajasthan, prevented the completion of the exam for a portion of the 2,73,096 registered candidates.
As a direct consequence, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that these 2,445 affected candidates will have the opportunity to re-appear for the NEET PG 2026 exam on September 5, 2026. The re-examination is scheduled to take place in Jaipur, Rajasthan. NBEMS has apologized for the inconvenience and assured affected candidates of a fair opportunity.
