Three students from Andhra Pradesh have distinguished themselves in the NEET-UG 2026 results, securing positions within the top 100 nationwide. Namala Prerana from Anantapur district led the state with an All India Rank of 36, followed by Grandhi Haneesh at 74 and Relangi Jayashanmukhi at 86. Several other students from the state also achieved notable ranks, indicating strong individual performances.
Despite these successes, Andhra Pradesh's overall qualification rate for NEET-UG 2026 saw a decrease. While 65,957 candidates registered, a 11.4% increase from the previous year, the number of qualified students dropped by 9.7% to 33,221. This resulted in a lower qualification percentage of 55.2%, down from 63.5% in 2025.
Interestingly, the choice of Telugu as the examination medium has grown in popularity. In 2026, 1,339 candidates opted for Telugu, a marked increase from the 907 who chose it in 2025. This trend highlights a growing preference for regional languages in national examinations.
