The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is set to release new textbooks for Class 10 students by December 2026. This proactive measure ensures students have ample time to prepare for the 2027 academic session with the revised curriculum. The syllabi for all subjects will be submitted to the CBSE by November 15, 2026, and simultaneously uploaded online.
The updated textbooks will encompass a range of subjects including English, Hindi, Urdu, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Science, and Social Science. Language books are expected by November 20, with remaining titles available by December. This early release strategy also aims to deter the black marketing and distribution of pirated materials, offering fixed prices across various platforms.
Students entering Class 9 and subsequently Class 10 will benefit from this early access. Parents can purchase the new books via Amazon, Flipkart, and Army Post Services, alongside the NCERT portal. This historical move saw 70.9 million NCERT textbooks sold in the 2026-27 academic year.
