On November 16, 2025, Sharathchandra Swamiji of Mysuru's Kunduru Math presided over a seminar celebrating the complete literary works of renowned scholar Prof. MM Kalburgi, which have been compiled into a 40-volume collection. Swamiji praised Kalburgi's research approach, which was driven by the principle that research should lead to truth.
Addressing the seminar held at BLDE Deemed University's Shri BM Patil Medical College in Vijayapura, Swamiji emphasized the importance of truthful research that benefits society. He noted that in today's world, where experiential research and interest are dwindling, Kalburgi's dedication to uncovering hidden truths and building cultural understanding through his writings serves as a model for all researchers.
Senior researcher and editor of the 40-volume collection, Dr. Veeranna Rajur, expressed the privilege of compiling Kalburgi's life's work. Rajur highlighted Kalburgi's scholarly tradition and his contributions to non-fiction literature, including the reconstruction of lost history and the publication of unpublished Vachanas.
Other researchers also presented their insights on Kalburgi's diverse body of work, which spanned creative and non-creative fields, from introspective poetry to comprehensive books and research papers on Kannada literature and history.
