Minister Visits Schools, Inspires 'Model School' Vision

Maharashtra's school education minister, Dada Bhuse, recently toured five schools in Nagpur, initiating the 'Chala Shaalet Jaauya' campaign. He directed officials to develop three selected schools—a Zilla Parishad primary school in Chankapur, Saraswati Vidyalaya, and a Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) school—into model institutions. These schools will serve as benchmarks for others.
During his visit to the ZP primary school in Chankapur, Bhuse assessed the quality of midday meals and inaugurated an 'IDEAL Center.' He also inaugurated the school's AI lab and noted its free transport service for students. The minister stressed the need to enhance the educational standards in state-board schools during a meeting with education officials and principals.
At an NMC school, Bhuse reviewed modernization efforts and mandated a weekly patriotic song drill every Saturday. He also announced the expansion of the 'Rani Lakshmibai self-defence training camp' to NMC schools. Discussions were held regarding the potential shift of NMC schools to the CBSE board and the approval of junior colleges.
Saraswati Vidyalaya, recognized for its state-level performance, was also visited. Bhuse praised its academic record and focus on Marathi. He called for its development into a model school with improved infrastructure and technology. The minister also reviewed skill-development programs at Seva Sadan High School and initiatives at St Anne's English Medium School.
