Maharashtra MBBS/BDS: Final Seat Push for 2026-27
14 Oct
Summary
- Stray vacancy rounds for MBBS/BDS admissions are scheduled.
- Over 17,000 students admitted in previous centralized rounds.
- New college preferences are required for each vacancy round.
The Maharashtra State CET Cell announced the schedule for the first online stray vacancy round for MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. This process aims to fill remaining seats in various medical and dental colleges after the centralized admission process concluded.
Candidates can submit their college preferences on October 15 and 16, with the results for the first round to be declared on October 17. A total of 17,266 students have already secured admissions in the first two centralized rounds, and 11,340 candidates were offered seats in the ongoing third round, which concludes on October 14.
Eligibility for these online stray vacancy rounds extends to NEET-UG 2026 qualifiers who registered for the Maharashtra admission process but did not receive an allotment. Importantly, fresh registration is not allowed, and participants must submit their college preferences anew for each stray vacancy round. Choices from the third centralized round will not carry over.
Those allotted a seat in the first online stray vacancy round will not be eligible to participate in any subsequent rounds. This marks the final opportunity for eligible candidates to secure a seat for the upcoming academic year.
