Two Schools of Eminence (SOEs) in Ludhiana, situated in Millerganj and Kidwai Nagar, are nearing completion and await official inauguration. Although construction is nearly finished, a formal opening ceremony by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is pending. This comes as the admission process for the current academic session is already underway in district government schools.
Entrance tests for these SOEs have recently been conducted, and admissions will proceed once the inauguration date is announced. The Millerganj SOE, inspected on February 4, showcases infrastructural excellence with facilities like a terrace badminton court, indoor table tennis, and dedicated yoga areas.
Academic infrastructure includes spacious classrooms, a staff room, a principal's office, and seven laboratories, all designed to foster holistic student development. The schools are projected to become models for educational excellence in the region.
