Lucknow University Probes Student Roles in Campus Clash

On November 14, 2025, Lucknow University authorities have issued show-cause notices to 13 students who were named in FIRs (First Information Reports) related to a clash between day scholars and hostellers on the campus on November 10. The students who received the notices include those pursuing degrees ranging from PhD to Bachelors.
The university has given the students 3 working days to appear before the inquiry committee formed by the proctor and present their explanations regarding their alleged involvement in the incident. Lucknow University spokesperson Mukul Srivastava stated that the university will take impartial action based on the facts and that the students have been provided a fair chance to put forth their side of the story before a final decision is made.
