KCET Ranks Revised: CBSE Students Get Second Chance
4 Jul
Summary
- KEA allows 3 days for CBSE, CISCE, state board students to submit revised marks.
- KCET ranks will be updated for students whose Class 12 marks increased.
- Option entry for BPharm, PharmD courses delayed due to pending seat matrix.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is now allowing Class 12 students from CBSE, CISCE, and state boards a three-day window, from July 4 to July 6, to submit updated marksheets following re-evaluation. This decision revises an earlier stance that excluded marks updated after counseling began.
Students seeking an updated Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) rank must submit their revised marksheets at the KEA office in Malleswaram, Bengaluru. Submissions will be accepted on Sunday, July 7, 2024. The KEA will verify these revised marks through DigiLocker accounts before considering rank changes.
Candidates whose marks increased are being urged to submit their updated scores. However, students experiencing a decrease in marks due to re-evaluation must also inform the KEA to prevent discrepancies during college admissions. The authority plans to provide spot ranking for affected students.
Separately, the option entry for BPharm, PharmD, and Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences courses has been postponed. The KEA has not yet received the seat matrix for these programs and advises students to await further notification.
