- Eligible students taking matriculation exams are encouraged to apply.
The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has extended the application deadline for its Akanksha-40 entrance examination to January 30, moving it from the original date of January 15. This crucial program identifies and nurtures economically disadvantaged students by offering them free, structured coaching for competitive examinations.
The Akanksha-40 scheme provides comprehensive support, including free lodging, food, books, and study materials, fully funded by the state government. Students who will be taking their matriculation examination under the state board this year are eligible to apply for this beneficial opportunity.
Following a review showing a low number of applications, education officials urged schools to ensure at least 15 students apply per school, with a minimum of five for engineering, medical, and CLAT. State coordinator V.K. Singh highlighted the program's success, noting that many selected students clear competitive exams annually.
